Online art marketplace Rise Art has launched an award for new artists and artworks, with a winner's prize of £10,000.

Although the award has been going for 5 years, Rise has spread its wings for the 2017 prize and now accepts entries from pretty much anywhere in the world. As well as the cold, hard cash, the winning artist will have the opportunity to exhibit in central London (although Rise doesn't state exactly where).

This year's categories are:

  • Street art
  • Painting
  • Drawing
  • Photography
  • Sculpture
  • Mixed media
  • Illustration
  • Screenprinting
  • UK artist of the year
  • UK artist of the year (under 18)

There's also a pretty impressive list of judges. You should all know Gavin Turk; he's joined by esteemed folks including Sarah Martin (Head of Exhibitions at the Turner Contemporary); After Nyne editor and fellow Oxfordian Claire Meadows; Hunger Magazine's Holly Fraser; and sculptor Richard Wilson.

Enter here, and good luck to all entrants.
